Lee Kean Teong was appointed to the Board of the Company on 19 May 2015. He was with Messrs KPMG Malaysia for more than 35 years and was a partner until his retirement on 31 December 2014. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) and is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“MICPA”) and a Fellow member of CPA Australia. He has extensive experience in audit and management consulting throughout his career.
He was the engagement partner for a wide range of companies which included public listed companies and multinationals in various industries, mainly in manufacturing, property development and construction, hotel, stock broking and finance.
He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Oriental Holdings Berhad, EG Industries Berhad and Advance Information Marketing Berhad, all of which are listed on Bursa Securities.
He does not have family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholder of the Company. He does not have personal interest in any business arrangement involving the Company.
